About this project
Weather & Local Conditions is the umbrella project for the systems Gigabyte Grove uses to observe what is happening in the atmosphere immediately around the property. It combines local weather stations, radio-fed weather data, environmental telemetry, and the supporting network and software that keep those observations available.
The project is intentionally broader than a single weather station. It is where station upgrades, sensor changes, reliability work, data sharing, NOAA-facing reporting, dashboards, and lessons learned from operating multiple weather sources are documented over time.
The goal is practical local awareness: collect useful conditions at the Grove, keep the data dependable, and make the information understandable enough that other people can reproduce the useful parts.
