About this project
What we’re building and why
SignalSpan is a Gigabyte Grove initiative focused on building and maintaining real-world weather, radio, and networking systems that share useful data publicly.
Deployments under SignalSpan can include environmental telemetry, NOAA-compatible weather reporting, public SDR audio, aviation and weather radio monitoring, point-to-point links, remote nodes, and the power and network infrastructure needed to keep them online.
The initiative is also a documentation project: hardware choices, wiring, failures, maintenance, and deployment lessons are meant to be shown rather than hidden so the useful parts can be learned from and reproduced elsewhere.
