What we’re building and why
EarthCam & Cameras covers the camera systems deployed around Gigabyte Grove for property awareness, documentation, weather observation, and public viewing.
The project includes the Grove’s EarthCam presence along with the local camera infrastructure that supports everyday monitoring and automation. Camera placement, network paths, recording, privacy boundaries, reliability, and integration with the rest of the Grove are all part of the project rather than treating each camera as an isolated device.
Updates document hardware changes, placement improvements, stream or recording work, and the practical tradeoffs involved in keeping outdoor cameras dependable in a real South Georgia environment.
